December 2015

As part of their World War 1 topic and to commemorate the Christmas truce, the pupils in Year 5 played a game of friend or foe. This involved to two teams trying to agree terms to come to peace. The classrom was set up with trenches and representatives from each team had to meet in No Man's Land. The pupils showed real maturity and sensitivity when discussing this emotive subject.

The pupils have enjoyed this topic and have put a fanstastic amount of effort and research into it, especially in their homework! Da iawn Blwyddyn Pump!

The children in Year 5 have really enjoyed their World War 1 History topic. They showed their respect to the fallen by creating their own poppy wreath ready for the Year 6 assembly.

We have been lucky enough to have Cardiff City coaches coming into school to help develop the fantastic football talent in Millbank. Here are Dosbarth 6 showing off their skills!

To find out a little bit more about how  WWI affected Wales we went on a trip to the Glamorgan archives.
