Fruit Money

If you would like your child to have a fruit snack with their milk each day, please pay £1 per week on a Monday.

(Please put your £1 in an envelope with your child’s name

clearly labelled on it)

 

Wellington Boots

Please can all parents send in a pair of wellingtons for your child as we like to splash in puddles on wet and rainy days. We will also be going on an Autumn walk soon and the children will need their wellies for this adventure.

Bobby and Betsi Bear

We have 2 super bears in Nursery who like to go home with all the lovely boys and girls.

Thank you to all the children who have looked after Bobby and Betsi so well.

Mrs Penfold loves to hear all about their adventures and share your experiences with all the other children in the Nursery

Owl Babies

We have been looking at the story 'Owl Babies'  

We have been retelling and sequencing the story and learning to order the owls from biggest to smallest.

We are having lots of fun experiences based around the story.

Owl Babies - Picture Book Animation

Three baby owls, Sarah, Percy and Bill, wake up one night in their hole in a tree to find that their mother has gone. So they sit on a branch and wait. Darkness gathers and the owls grow anxious, wondering when their mother will return.

October Welsh Speakers of the Week

November 2017

We are continuing our number 1 work.

We use scarves to help us in our Digit Dance to learn number formation.

We are learning to recognise and form the letter m correctly

We have been learning 2D shapes and we have created lovely shape pictures.

We have had lots of fun with our new Bubble Machine

We have been continuing our work on patterns and we have been sequencing with crisp packets.

This week was anti bullying week. We have been talking about how to be kind to each other and how to be a super friend.

We have been continuing our work on the letter 'm'.

December 2017

December has been a very busy and exciting time in the Nursery.

We have been learning to recognise and form the letter 'a' Printing with a a a apples.

Welcome back to all our lovely boys and girls and a super new welcome to our new starters.

We have been looking at Daffodils and painting Daffodils ready for our St. David's Day Celebeations.

     Food and Fitness Fortnight    We have been super fit in our food and fitness fortnight.  

  Here are a few things we have been doing.

A visit from ASDA. We talked about fruit and how it is good for us. We tasted lots of different fruits.

The ladies from Specsavers talked to us about our eyes and keeping them healthy.

Fitness session with Annie from Cardiff City.

We are learning about the life cycle of a butterfly. We have been taking great care of our class caterpillars. They are growing at a super speed.

This week we have been learning to sound out and correctly form the 'g' sound.

The Nursery children had great fun in the Nursery Sports Day. We hope everyone who came to watch enjoyed the fun races.
