Year 1
Welcome to Year 1! Our theme this term is 'To infinity and beyond!' We will be explore the mysterious wonders of Space, planets and light and dark.
We started our term by meeting an alien named Oonog! We learned lots of information about him and wrote character descriptions, so that everyone can learn about a real alien! Since then, we have created our own alien shop, where we sell moon rocks and crystals and create our own moon bracelets. We have been using real money to buy and sell these, creating our own class economy.
We are currently learning to retell the story of 'how the tortoise got his shell'. We have been creating our own tortoise mosaic patterns and using ordering words such as first and next to describe who tortoise met on his journey.
