Growing Together To Be Our Best

Croeso ir Meithrin/Welcome to our Nursery

It is an exciting time for you and your child. We hope to make the transition from home to school easy, fun and trouble free. We will be developing your child’s personal and social skills and teaching them how to take turns and care for others around us and of course making some super new friends along the way.

In the Foundation Phase we love hands on learning approach as children learn more effectively from seeing and doing and getting their hands dirty.

We will be learning all about ourselves, our senses, our families and where we live. Learning the parts of the body and what we were like as babies. We will be finding out about the season we are in and going on a walk to observe, gather and collect lots of valuable evidence.

We will develop our skills of turn taking, how to be kind to others, knowing our class rules and seeing how special we all are.

Wash Wash Wash, we are learning to wash our hands properly. While we wash we sing Happy Birthday twice.

The Tiger Who Came To Tea!

We have been learning about the book The Tiger Who Came to Tea in nursery. We have talked all about the things the tiger ate, about the characters in the story and about if he ate 'only one' or 'all of' the items. To finish our context we had a tiger tea party! :)

Our Remembrance Day Assembly, we made beautiful poppies.

We had lots of fun.

We all dressed up and decorated cakes.

Christmas Time

Look at the lovely things we have made for Christmas.

We had an amazing time and sang our hearts out in our first nativity.

We had a lovely time at our Nursery Christmas Party. We danced, played party games and ate lots of delicious food. We also had a visit from Santa.

We would like to wish all the boys and girls and all the Mums and Dads a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and we look forward to seeing you all in the new school in January.

Thank you for all your support this term and for the very generous gifts you gave us in the Nursery.
