Important Information: 

  • PE is now on a Friday. Please ensure your child comes to school in their PE kit on a Friday. 
  • Please ensure your child build an appropriate water bottle to school that has a lid, and that this is regularly taken home to be cleaned. 


Food and Fitness

Our topic for this final half  term is 'Food & Fitness'. We are looking at our bodies in detail, and how we can ensure good physical and mental well-being. We will be learning about different organs in our body and the different jobs they do to keep us healthy. We will also be looking at the affect that exercise has on our body, measuring our heart rate before and after exercise, and looking at how food fuels and affects our bodies.

Each day, as long as the weather is not too hot, we will be completing the Daily Mile. This is where we aim to run as many laps of the playground as we can, in 10 minutes, aiming to improve our total number of laps by the end of term, thus improving our overall fitness, as well as benefitting from giving ourselves a brain break and spending more time out in the fresh air.
