Millbank Primary School

Growing Together To Be Our Best

Give and Gain

On Friday 9th July 2010 staff from Enterprise Rent-a-Car came to Millbank to build a special outdoor classroom for the infants. The project was part of BITC (Business in the Community)'s Give and Gain Day.

We are really lucky in Cardiff to have such an active BITC group who are keen to link up businesses with good causes. We have benefited in the past from work by Legal and General via BITC. and they have been very active in the wider community too.

The children drawings of insects beetles and other creepie-crawlies ties in with 2010 being the International Year of Biodiversity and the children's efforts to encourage wildlife in the school. These drawings were used to decorate the front of the school and the group also constructed benches and planters so that the children can work outside.

We would like to say a huge "THANK YOU" to the staff from Enterprise Rent-a-Car

Heidi Dupres, Siân Furreedan, Pete Caltabiano, Becky Warren, Chris Green, Anna Gray, Danielle Hunt, James Butler, Gavin Williams, Jess Teesdale, Helen Dowden, Lionel Walford & Martyn Flynn.

And another "Thank You" to Greenmoor Nurseries, Alfresco Landscapes & Delta Property for their generosity in supporting the project.

You have all created "not just a wonderful area for the children to enjoy, but also have created a good example of responsibility and community care for the children to copy too."
