December 2015

As part of their World War 1 topic and to commemorate the Christmas truce, the pupils in Year 5 played a game of friend or foe. This involved to two teams trying to agree terms to come to peace. The classrom was set up with trenches and representatives from each team had to meet in No Man's Land. The pupils showed real maturity and sensitivity when discussing this emotive subject.

Welcome to Year 5

It has been a very busy start to the year and all the children have been working very hard.

Our topic for this term is World War 1. We have been learning about how the War started and which countries were involved. Some children have been kind enough to bring in some fantastic books full of useful information to help with our research!

To find out a little bit more about how  WWI affected Wales we went on a trip to the Glamorgan archives.
