Growing Together To Be Our Best

Regency Home

The choir have been practicing hard over the last few weeks and recently performed at St Davids Hall in town as well as the Carol Service at St Davids Church. But on the penultimate day before our Christmas holidays they visited our friends at the Regency Care Home and sang several songs. We have some small clips which you can see and hear

It was one of the residents birthdays, whilst some of the choir cannot wait till they get as old as 17 Helen was celebrating her 104th birthday!! The choir sang Happy Birthday CLIP FIVE (4Mb) to Helen -but refrained from giving her the bumps!

Helen lived in London before moving to Cardiff over 40 years ago."I used to be a Tiller girl and mainly performed at the Coliseum in London" she still has a lovely voice and sang for the children CLIP FIVE (11Mb two songs including "show me the way to go home")

The staff gave the children a cup of squash and a rice crispie cake as they mingled with the residents and introduced themselves. We all had a lovely time and hope to return and share the video with Helen.

You can see when the choir visited the Regency Care home in 2006 (not the choir but they sang anyway) 2004 2002 and 2001
